The name, Mary Rose – taken from the middle names of my two girls, Chloe Mary and Ava Rose – has been created to invoke the timeless beauty and irresistible texture of roses, combined with contemporary lettering designs.

Why and when did you decide to start your business?

Founded at the beginning of 2017, and inspired by a love and passion for creating heartfelt and personal statement decorative pieces for close family and friends, I created Mary Rose after the birth of my 2nd daughter.

Where do you seek inspiration from for your product range?

A combination of nature (roses and flowers of course!), bespoke interior design, and works of art.

What are your greatest achievements to date?

Finding international success with my business in less than a year after setting it up, with over 45% of my customers ordering from outside the UK.

Who inspires you?

My girls, self-made entrepreneurs from a variety of backgrounds, such as Steve Jobs, Katie Price, and Sir Alan Sugar.

What is important to you in business?

Quality of product, attention to detail, providing that ‘wow factor’ for customers, creating a genuinely unique and stunning product, becoming a strong brand.

What do you enjoy most about your business?

Its all mine – it fits around my life, my children, its now part of my family, I’m always happy to go into work!
Why did you choose to list your products on oodlique?

Because it provides an innovative and fresh approach, as not just anyone can join due to the requirement that vendors offer unique, personalised, bespoke items only.

What has your experience been like working with oodlique?

Technical support has been great, providing help with showcasing my products in the best possible light – the team has been great.

What does the future hold for your business?

To continue with my current month-on-month revenue growth, and within 2 years from now to be in a position where I need at least 1 full time employee working alongside me.
