Hello I’m Faysie Boo. I live in the Surrey Countryside and am happiest when being creative (and making mess) in my little studio. I make cards, prints and bespoke stationery for special occasions including weddings and birthdays
I’m really proud to be a small creative business and always try to support other makers & small businesses.
Why and when did you decide to start your business?
I started Faysie Boo Studio in 2013. I had been making cards and prints for family and friends and decided to take the leap and start selling online and at local craft fairs. It was one of the best decisions I ever made!
Where do you seek inspiration from for your product range?
I find inspiration in a lot of places. I love bold graphics especially Scandinavian design, I recently visited Copenhagen and was in heaven! I also have a passion for all things vintage and spend hours in flea markets spotting patterns and colour combinations.
What are your greatest achievements to date?
This is a tricky questions, I think my greatest achievements so far is just building a small creative business from scratch. I’ve learnt so much on the business and marketing side and getting to draw for a living is fantastic!
Who inspires you?
I follow a lot of talented women on Instagram, I find it really inspiring to see them succeeding with their small creative businesses. I love Jane Foster’s unique design style and Emily Quinton’s photography skills
‘When women support each other, incredible things happen’
What is important to you in business?
Every thing I design and make is a reflection on my brand. Its so important everything is made with love and to a high standard. I want customers to open their order and smile
What do you enjoy most about your business?
I love knowing people have chosen my products for special occasions in their lives such as their wedding or their little one’s first birthday. Its an honour to be a small part of these occasions
What has been your biggest endorsement to date you have received for your product/s
This is definitely receiving lovely feedback and photos from customers
Why did you choose to list your products on oodlique?
Oodlique approached me and I thought I’d give it a go! I sell on other online marketplaces and liked the look and feel of Oodlique
What has your experience been like working with oodlique?
It’s been positive so far, they are a lovely team and have a great work ethos
What does the future hold for your business?
